Cybersecurity Engineer

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Cybersecurity, Information Technology Security, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant full-time work experience may substitute for each year of education
• Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience in:
  • Cybersecurity analysis or information security analysis.
  • Security and/or enterprise architecture design, implementation, and management.
  • Conducting security risk assessments or audits of policies, standards, procedures, and technical environments in compliance with state and federal statutes, regulations, and standards related to information security and cybercrime.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical issues to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to translate operational requirements into security controls, and apply cybersecurity and privacy principles related to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
  • Expertise in evaluating the functionality, resilience, and dependability of security systems, and anticipating how changes in conditions, operations, or environments may impact outcomes.
  • Proficiency in applying network security architecture concepts—such as topology, protocols, components, and defense-in-depth principles—to identify vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure systems and ICT environments not originally designed with security considerations.
